Lil’ Scouts 2-week Training Camps: Welcome to our exclusive 2-week Training Camps at Poochie’s Park, where your dog’s education will thrive in a fun, social, and outdoor environment. Our comprehensive program ensures that your furry friend spends the day with us, learning good manners and obedience through engaging activities of the body and mind.
During the Initial Consult meeting with the trainer, your pup is
evaluated and placed at the appropriate level on the Scout’s Trail.
Each 2-week course can be completed in either Overnight Camp (this is preferred for best results) or by attending Daycamp each day (you drop off each morning and pick up each evening).

What's Included
- 14 days of either Overnight Camp or Day Camp at fabulous Poochie's Park!
- At least 2 hours of off leash playtime each day at Poochie’s Park.
- Socialization with friendly people and dogs
- Two 40 minute one on one training sessions per day (plus option to add on an extra 40 minute session for $50).
- Daily Videos, your favorite part of the day! Each day the trainer is going to send you a high-quality video starring your dog showing off what they learned today. It’s a great way for you to stay in the loop until the last day in person consultation with the trainer.
- Homework for the Family: Each week, the trainer will be emailing you some “homework”. Don’t stress out! It’s just some simple instructions we’ve made that will help you understand how to continue the skills training and pack leader mentality in your own household.
- Initial Consultation and the Exit Consultation with the Trainer
- Unlimited family “hang out visits” to Poochie’s Park including dog park access for you and your pup while enrolled in camp.
- The official uniform of the Scouts, your pup's own Lil' Scouts Scarf! We'll sew all the merit badges they earn to it.
- Option to add an extra "Special Merit Badge" training session to each day.
Lil’ Scouts Graduates: Once your dog completes any Lil’ Scout’s level, you now have the option to add a training session to any future stays at Poochie’s Park. You can have the trainer work on ANY one specific skill/behavior, or, work on earning a Special Merit Badge during these “pay per session” lessons. $50 for each 40-minute session added to a day or overnight stay.
Initial Consult and placement on The Trail: During your meet n’ greet, the trainer will evaluate your dog’s focus and responsiveness to commands during basic testing sessions. From that assessment, they’ll be able to determine where on “The Scouts Trail” to start your pup’s journey. You’ll be given an outline of your dog’s personalized 2-week training plan.
*Should you attend a consultation & decide not to go through with our program, the fee is $20.
*Must be friendly with other dogs to start training! During the consultation, if your pup is unconfident or overreactive with others then the trainer may recommend between 1 to 3 days of our socialization training before starting on “The Scouts Trail”.
Last Day Consult: Every two-week section of the Trail ends with a very happy day for the whole family, it’s pick up day! After the hugs and excitement have settled down then you get to meet again with the trainer. Your dog has now earned the title of Lil’ Scout! At this consultation you’ll get an earful of knowledge about how to continue progress at home, very important. You’re always invited to reach out to your trainer again with questions anytime!
Daily Videos: Your favorite part of the day! Each day the trainer is going to send you a high-quality video starring your dog showing off what they learned today. It’s a great way for you to stay in the loop until the last day in person consultation with the trainer. Here’s some examples!
Merit Badges: At each level of their journey, The Scouts are awarded official merit badges when they master a specific skill. It’s a very proud moment when we get to sew a badge to your dog’s Lil Scout scarf!
- Special Merit Badges
$50 for any 40-minute session added
We’ve got some Special Merit Badges you will love! They are pay per session 40-minute add-ons to your pup’s day. They are only for Lil’ Scouts that are currently enrolled or have already completed a section of the Trail. There’s no set time frame expectation on how long it takes to learn a certain Special Merit Badge. A merit badge is awarded once the skill is mastered.
- Field trips! have several benefits for your pup. They’ll learn about the ways of the human world and build confidence in facing new situations. Examples: ride in the trainer’s car to a hardware store, pet store, or public park. *4 trips gets the Explorer merit badge.
- Fetch! On land or at sea (in the pond), your pup can learn to retrieve the thrown object you and bring it back to you.
- Load Up! Jump in and out of the car when you say so.
- Stairs! Walk up and down stairs.
- Roll Over! From the sitting position, lay down and roll over.
- Spin! From the standing position.
- Shake! From the sitting position.
- Speak! Bark at me when I ask you to.

A new puppy in the house is such a joyous occasion! But without proper training, that adorable pup can quickly turn into the terror of the house. Don’t wait for bad habits to develop—start training your puppy now while they’re most receptive to learning.
Our Pup Scout level of the Trail lays a strong foundation for your puppy’s future behavior. Our comprehensive program includes introductions to the following:
- Attention and Focus directed to leadership
- Impulse Control (no jumping or snatching food!)
- Socialization with other dogs and people
- Basic manners
- Potty training
- Beginner level leash training
- Introduction to all essential commands such as sit, down, stay, come, and place

- Buddy Scout
An essential next level of training for dogs of all ages past the puppy stage. It reinforces and instills in them the basics they learned as a pup. Plus introduces them to the manners and behaviors that are expected of a model dog citizen.
In this course, your dog will be asked to follow commands immediately and even amidst various distractions. We’ll also focus on managing your dog’s impulsive reactions to triggers from a distance.
In this level, we include:
- Enhanced Attention and Focus: Strengthening your dog’s ability to follow commands with consistency.
- Impulse Control: Teaching your dog to manage reactions to distractions and triggers, such as not jumping or grabbing food.
- Advanced Socialization: Encouraging positive interactions with other dogs and people on/off the leash. Including some trips to the dog park!
- Intermediate Manners: Polishing basic etiquette to enhance your dog’s behavior at home and in public.
- Consistent Potty Training: Reinforcing good habits to ensure your dog remains reliably house-trained.
- Leash Training: Introducing more advanced leash skills for better control during walks.
- Command Mastery: Ensuring proficiency in essential commands like sit, down, stay, come, and place, even in challenging situations.
The “Buddy Scout” section of the Trail is all about instilling the essential skills and behaviors needed to be an obedient and well-mannered dog in today’s world.
- Guide Scout
Having mastered the basics, your dog is ready for more advanced obedience and behavior training. Our Guide Scout level is designed for those who want their dog to excel in higher-level skills and commands, making them a truly exceptional companion. During the initial consult, you and the trainer can identify specific areas of behavior and obedience that you want to improve on.
In the Guide Scout level of the Trail, we include:
- 4 Field Trips! Examples: ride in the trainer’s car to a hardware store, pet store, or public park. Ensuring your dog can maintain concentration in increasingly complex environments. They’ll earn the “Explorer” Merit Badge.
- Refined Impulse Control: Perfecting your dog’s ability to resist distractions and stay calm under pressure.
- Sophisticated Socialization: Enhancing your dog’s interactions to ensure they are polite and well-mannered in all settings.
- Polished Manners: Elevating your dog’s behavior to the highest standard, both at home and in public.
- Consistent Command Execution: Achieving flawless performance of all essential commands such as sit, down, stay, come, place, and heel, even from a distance or amidst distractions.
- Behavioral Specialties: Introducing advanced skills tailored to your dog’s capabilities and your specific needs.
- Super Scout
Your dog has reached the pinnacle of their training journey, and now it’s time to achieve mastery with our Super Scout level. This program is designed for those who desire the highest level of obedience and behavior from their dog, with a special focus on off-leash control.
In the Super Scout level of the Trail, we focus on:
- Ultimate Attention and Focus: Ensuring your dog can maintain impeccable concentration without the need for a leash.
- Unmatched Impulse Control: Perfecting your dog’s ability to stay calm and composed in any situation, regardless of distractions.
- Elite Socialization: Enhancing interactions to ensure your dog is exemplary in all social settings. Includes 4 Field Trips as well as trips to the dog park.
- Exemplary Manners: Achieving the highest standard of behavior, making your dog a model of etiquette both at home and in public.
- Off-Leash Command Mastery: Ensuring flawless execution of all essential commands such as sit, down, stay, come, place, and heel without the need for a leash.
