Includes 7 nights of Camp, Daily Progress Videos, and 2 Private Lessons at the end of the course.

Imagine the freedom of letting your dog run, play, and explore — without the stress of wondering if they’ll listen when it matters most.

Our Off Leash Behavior Improvement Training is designed to give you exactly that peace of mind. Perfect for energetic pups with what we call “selective hearing” and dogs who need a little extra guidance on appropriate social behavior.

This program teaches your dog to respond reliably to your cues, even at a distance. Whether you’re at the dog park, on a hiking trail, the beach, or in your own backyard, you’ll enjoy the confidence of knowing your dog will stay safe, well-mannered, and under control—no leash required.

Two Off Leash Training Methods

Free Shaping Method

“Free Shaping” basically means we reward a behavior we like, when we see it. This increases the chance of the dog repeating the behavior and making the connection.

We will condition your dog to a “positive verbal marker”. This is used to mark good behavior and is followed by a reward. For dogs that love to work for praise and treats (which is the majority!) this method is ideal for off leash training.

We focus a lot on recall, with the goal of getting your dog to continuously check in with you to find out how they are doing and if what they are doing is praiseworthy.

This method is ideal for many types of dogs but it does take a little longer for those dogs that are a bit compulsive or impulsive when a distraction is too good to ignore.

At the end of the week, we’ll teach the family how to continue practicing at home or in the park.

E-Collar Conditioning Course

(add $199 +tax for purchase of a high-quality E-Collar)

This course is especially effective when owners are struggling with managing inappropriate off leash behavior from a distance and other training methods aren’t effective or time doesn’t permit them.

The E-Collar, uses the same technology as a TENS muscle stimulation device does. It is a very effective training tool when introduced properly to a dog by a professional, that’s us.

Once a dog enrolled in our course has been properly and patiently introduced to their collar the rest of the week will be about behavior conditioning.  At the end of the week, it’s time to teach the family!

In a short amount of time, your dog will respond to you simply because he’s wearing the collar or by the sound of the buzzer, meaning a “stim” will no longer be necessary.
