Meet Kasara and David! Kasara is the head trainer and manager of Lil’ Scouts, while David is the owner of both Poochie’s Park and Lil’ Scouts. Kasara has been one of Poochie’s top employees for several years, and together, they have created the Lil’ Scouts training program to bring their expertise to the world.

David (and Heather) Kophamer have been the proud owners of Poochie’s Park since 2004. Since that time, they’ve learned a lot about how to run a business, and a lot more about how dogs think! Known for his inventive and entrepreneurial spirit, David wanted to create something different and special for his patrons that could ONLY be found at Poochie’s. With the support from Heather and their dedicated staff, Lil’ Scouts was born. To elevate Lil’ Scouts into a serious training company, David needed a smart, funny, creative, artistic, passionate, trustworthy, considerate, experienced dog trainer to collaborate with and that’s where Kasara comes in!

Kasara Wilson is a professional dog trainer with extensive experience in obedience training and building canine confidence. Over the past 9 years, she has immersed herself in the study of canine behavior and psychology, actively engaging with the dog training community. As a member of the APDT with multiple certifications, Kasara has honed her skills under some of the best dog trainers in Florida. She particularly enjoys working with young, energetic dogs and puppies, as well as those needing confidence building. Kasara is passionate about providing people and their dogs with the guidance they need to become successful teams, enhancing their lives together.

Poochie’s Park has been a cherished destination for over 20 years, where people and their dogs come to learn about proper behavior and socialization. Lil’ Scouts is the perfect blend of David’s extensive experience in the dog business, Kasara’s exceptional training skills, and the unique 8-acre location. Both David and Kasara have dedicated many years to crafting an outstanding experience for the dogs and their owners who join Lil’ Scouts. We hope you love it as much as we do!

What Our Customers Say:

The Lil’ Scouts at Poochie’s Park one-on-one training sessions significantly helped our shy shepherd mix rescue Trinket acquire skills that greatly improved her confidence and our daily lives.

We have been visiting Poochie’s Park with our dogs since 2006; however, this was first time we utilized their training services. Trinket participated in several classes, including “go to your place,” “walk up/downstairs,” and “load up.” The training proved highly effective and helped our timid dog become more at ease around unfamiliar people and other dogs. For instance, she had a fear of cars, requiring us to lift her into the vehicle The trainer approached this issue in stages and even introduced a “doggy mentor” who enjoyed car rides to guide her. They even took the dogs on a few short rides together!

Additionally, videos of all the training sessions were provided, enabling us to reinforce the lessons at home effectively. Sometimes the humans need a little training, too!!!

I’ve been involved with Poochie’s Park for years and when it came time to get my German Shepherd puppy, Truffles, into some early training, I figured there was no better place to give it a shot. This was a sort of “trial run” for their new 1:1 training program called Lil’ Scouts, and honestly, they crushed it.

The trainers did a fantastic job working with Truffles on all the essential basics — sit, stay, lay down, come, leave it, and go to your place. They even worked on socialization, which was important since she was still a puppy and full of that wild energy.

What stood out most was how the trainers handled her with patience and consistency, while still making it fun. You can tell they actually care about the dogs and not just going through the motions. Truffles came back more confident, more obedient, and she honestly seemed to enjoy the whole experience.

If you’re on the fence about whether Lil’ Scouts at Poochie’s Park is the right place for training, I’d say go for it. They’ve got great people, real experience, and they treat your dog like one of their own.

The Lil’ Scouts 1-1 training at Poochie’s for our puppy, Caesar, has been a life-changer for our family. Communication is critical in any relationship, and it is no different when you are the owner of a loved pet🐾

Lil Scouts offer expert training in which they emphasize positive reinforcement and lots of patience and love❤️ They educate not only the pet, but, most importantly, the owner, by providing postcards from camp, a recording of the lesson and an instructive letter to the pet parent upon checkout.

Thank you, Lil’ Scouts (and Poochie’s), for teaching me how to communicate with Caesar and for teaching Caesar valuable lessons on how to sit, stay, wait, walk, “leave it” and socialize with other humans and other dogs. Because of your tremendous help with the basics, we could easily extend Caesar’s training at home to the point where now he has learned to ring a bell when he wants to go outside. Thank you, Lil’ Scouts❤️! We really would not have known where to start and how to do this without you!❤️❤️❤️
