Private Lessons
We offer one-on-one training for human family members and their dog, inside or outside at Poochie’s Park!
*If your dog has already completed a level of Lil’ Scouts!
We work individually with the family and their dog to address any concerns they may have and build a lesson plan they can execute at home. A summary of the class and lesson plan will be emailed within 48 hours of the one-on-one class.
Group Classes in the Dog Park
Training your dog in a group with other canine students is fun and educational! And what better place for your buddy to learn the ropes than with new friends at Poochie’s Park?!
At the end of each class is a chance to play off leash in the dog park. Upon completion of the course, you’ll get a Certificate of Completion and a free 1-Month Dog Park Membership!
Courses are 4 weeks long, meeting for 1 hour every week either inside or outside at one of our many awesome spaces.
Puppy Group Class (up to 6 months old)
- Puppy Biting – We will go over how to handle your puppy’s teething stage and how to manage your biting puppy!
- Potty Training Tips & Tricks – Learn how to get that puppy on a good schedule and better understand their natural bathroom habits!
- Leash Manners – Start your puppy off on the right foot when it comes to leash training! We will teach you how to encourage your puppy to walk nicely on the leash.
- The Basics – We will focus on “Come” and “Sit” commands. For puppies who are ready, we can also practice “Down.”
An Official Certificate of Completion is awarded at the end of the course along with a Free 1-Month Membership to Poochie’s Park!
Beginner Adult Dog Group Class (over 6 months old)
- No jumping and impulse control games
- Leash positioning and handling
- “Sit” and “Down” commands
- Intro to “recall”.
- Working with distractions
- Review ALL basic commands
- Discuss behavioral management
- Leash walking time and play time
An Official Certificate of Completion is awarded at the end of the course along with a Free Month Membership to Poochie’s Park!
Become a “Dogmaster” Training Course
COMING SOON!
Our 8-hour course lets you shadow one of our expert dog trainers. You can schedule one or two 1-hour sessions per week.
Our course includes lessons on dog psychology, training, establishing yourself as the pack leader, and walking with a pack of 10-15 off-leash dogs during each session. An official Poochie’s Dogmaster certificate is awarded upon completion.
